I really love the Thanksgiving Day holiday. First, I love all of the food. If I'm ever on "Death Row" I will request a Thanksgiving feast for my "last meal." I love the stuffing, sweet potatoes, turkey, ham, pecan pie, homemade rolls, etc...
This year was great because I got to share my kitchen with my mother-in-law, two sisters-in-law and my daughter. It was fun to share the cooking duties as we talked and laughed. I was reminded of doing the same thing with my mother and grandmother. I also got to use some serving dishes of my grandmother's, who passed away last month. She always set a beautiful table, and thanks to her passing on her dishes to me, I will be able to try and do the same. It was fun to see Kate learn some things, too, like how to make fluffy mashed potatoes-- although she also learned how sharp a potato peeler can be! Sorry, Kate, that fingertip should grow back...
This year we had eighteen people to our house for dinner. It was fun to get together with all of these people we love and don't get to see as often as we would like. We had lots of laughs and ate until we could only lay around and moan. It was fantastic!

Amen sister... ;) ...Didn't know grandma passed away, sorry to hear that. Thanksgiving is becoming my all time favorite holiday in my old age. Dinner?
Where's the picture of me?
